■The first Mövenpick in Belgium at Brussels Airport is a striking new flagship for Accor. The hotel features 103 rooms, wellness facilities, and a rooftop restaurant, Horizon Brasserie. Traditionally, airport hotels are a necessity, but Mövenpick worked with WeWantMore to create a space that blends Belgian surrealist art history with an unforgettable hotel experience.

Inspired by the surrealist concrete ‘curtains’ draping the building’s facade, we designed interiors that blend purposeful whimsy with cloud-like textures, melting lights, and playful, dreamlike details. Even when they tuck themselves in for the night, guests can expect the unexpected with cane-shaped wall lights and an over-the-bed lamp that casts a bird-shaped shadow — referring to both René Magritte’s bird motif and Mövenpick’s logo.
